Social Ballroom/ Latin lessons. The aim of the lessons is to prepare people to be able to dance at social functions such as a wedding, party, ball, cruise, etc. The dances that are used for social dancing include: Jive, Waltz, Rumba, Samba, Tango, Slow Rhythm, Cha Cha Cha, Quick Step and more.
Beginner courses are held every school term (four times a year) on Monday nights at Melville Recreation Centre. Intermediate and advanced levels are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights in the the Melville/Booragoon/Attadale areas. All lessons go for 1.5 hours as revision is always done before new steps are taught.
People can join as couples or by themselves. We have many assistants who attend to help match the male:female ratio.
The lessons are contacted in a friendly, encouraging and fun environment. People of all abilities are welcome. We get a wide range of ages.
Whilst our lessons finish in December, we will still have practice nights over January. I still do private lessons when required and I am always available to take calls.
