About Adam:
Adam commenced his singing career at a very young age leading to his first solo performance at the City of Belmont, performing Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the age of twelve, and his first professional appointment as “Crown Prince Chululongkorn” in the 1982 production of “The King & I” at His Majesty’s Theatre. He has since embarked upon a part-time theatrical career, performing roles such as “Curly” in Oklahoma (1990) Regal Theatre, “Guron” in Princess Ida (1997) Playhouse Theatre and “Javert” in Les Miserables (2001) Regal Theatre, to name a few.
Being invited to perform as the special guest artist at Saint Michael’s
Cathedral in Melbourne in 1995 is listed as one of his career highlights along with appearing on Channel Nine’s “Perth’s Young Entertainers and New Faces in Melbourne in 1988
Adam started on Curtin FM 100.1 in March of 2003 and has enjoyed the privilege of presenting programmes such as Monday Evening Easy Listening, Sunday Morning Inspirational for just over 3 years and Saturday Morning Easy Listening.
Along with his wife Linda, they own the dancing school “Mood Swings Social Dancing” specializing in Adult Ballroom and Latin/Rock & Roll classes and are about to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the school. Having taught with Middle Swan Dance Studios, Wrightson’s Dance Studios, Arthur Murray Dance School (Brighton, Victoria) and Rio Dance Studio (Hawthorn, Melbourne), Adam has enjoyed teaching dance for more than thirty years and has achieved up to his Fellowship degree qualifications, with all four major dance bodies in WA
Releasing his debut Album “Share Some Love With Me” in 2007, Adam’s varied career has him performing all throughout WA as a Vocalist, DJ, Compere/MC and Dancer/Choreographer, along with his latest challenge of writing a novel.
As a new adventure in Adam’s working career, he has embarked upon researching and formatting the history of Dancing in Western Australia, having been instrumental in producing the 2007 Dance Calendar “Tribute To The Founders Of Dance” featuring such identities in the industry as Sam Gilkison, Bob Wrightson, Ethel Philp & Renee Estler, following up with the 2014 “Tribute To The Ladies Of Dance” calendar and currently researching the 2017 “Gentlemen Of Dance” calendar. Added to this, he is studying the history of many of our most recognizable and popular sequence dances in Australia, and our old and beautiful Ballrooms.
